Managing Director
A Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Registered Valuer. Nick acquired the firm in 2006 and has over 50 years’ experience as a Chartered Surveyor in Norfolk.
Nick deals with surveys and valuations of residential and commercial property, acts as an Expert Witness in property disputes and litigation and can advise on landlord and tenant matters, planning and development appraisals and managing building works.
In his spare time Nick is a keen gardener, enjoys spending time with his grandson and likes to sail his Cornish Crabber at Wells-next-the-Sea.
Director
An Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Registered Valuer, a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and a Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents – propertymark. Rose joined the company in 2014 and has over 15 years’ experience in the sale, letting and management of residential property.
Rose leads the team and manages the day to day running of the business to include; valuing, listing, advertising, negotiating, project management, property inspections and documentation.
When not at work Rose spends time with her son, family and friends and goes swimming, or for walks on the North Norfolk Coast.
Residential Manager / Valuer
Having started my career in retail and ending up running a number of outlets, I decided to take a leap of faith and changed industries back in 2015 and have not looked back since. Initially, I worked in the corporate world of estate agency where it is all about numbers and the client became second best, I then moved to a reputable agent that deals with high net worth properties and had a pivotal role within the business. During my time with these varied employers, I have managed to build and develop a strong level of expertise that best equips me to take Spalding & Co. to the next level, alongside Nick & Rose.
Buying and/or selling a property is a huge decision that can be very stressful, if managed poorly. I believe that honesty and transparency can make this process smoother and that the client deserves more. We are committed to helping buyers and sellers start their new chapter in a more positive way.
Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my other half and our children, be it a stroll along a North Norfolk beach, an escape to London or the Peak District, even going to the gym – family time is the most important.
Lettings Manager
Responsible for our lettings and block management of both residential and commercial property, Janet is the friendly face working for landlords and helping tenants.
Janet started with us in 2006 when Nick took over the company and she is based in our Wells-next-the-Sea office, which is the coastal town where she has spent most of her life, making her local knowledge unbeatable.
With 6 grandchildren Janet is kept busy but also finds time for gardening, swimming, walking and bell ringing.
Office Administrator
The first point of call when contacting Spalding & Co., Sue joined the team in 2024, having previously spent a number of years working for a local Estate Office.
Sue offers a wealth of experience and enhances our Fakenham branch with her considerate customer care.
Outside of work Sue enjoys cycling and taking in all that the North Norfolk countryside has to offer, together with spending time with her family.
